The Festival of 1000 Lights Walk down the picturesque village streets that are lined with thousands of lighted ice lanterns made by hand by local villagers. Here the village becomes a sea of light as a golden glow and warmth fills the cool air. Tuesday night watch as dozens of miniature hot air balloons with candles rise up into the Arctic air symbolizing the official start of the Festival.
